About Dr Nogay
Hasan Ali Nogay, MD, PhD, graduated from Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1989 and completed 4 years of Residency in the Department of Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine, University of İstanbul. He is the first specialist in Turkey who has been used Hyperbaric oxygen in crush injuries due to earthquake and in sudden blindness patients (retinal vascular occlusive diseases) and hearing loss cases since 1990s. His specialist thesis is ‘The efficacy of Hyperbaric oxygen in central retinal artery occlusions’ has completed in 1994.

He has firstly established of Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine unit and used Hyperbaric chambers for treatment of patients in Gölcük Navy Hospital during his 16 months army duty. He has also presented and submitted of the first project to the Navy to popularize the hyperbaric systems in Turkey.

Then, he has enrolled in Doctorate program in the Department of Immunology at the Institute for Experimental Medicine and Research, University of İstanbul between 1996 to 1999.

In 1995 he has been awarded by “ Certification for Succesful Researcher” from Istanbul University thanks to favorable contributions to Turkish science through international publications.

In 1996, he has been invited to join the Hyperbaric Medicine Delegation favored by “The Citizen Ambassador Programme of People to people International” for ten days’ Research in China .

He has been practicing medicine in Turkey since 1989, beginning with 20 years in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy : The practical aspects of dealing with problem wounds especially in diabetic patients and acut or chronic severe hypoxic conditions (sometimes lifethreatening) generally complicated with resistant infections. But after several years in hyperbaric medicine, he began to feel a sense of unease about many of the patients he treated by hyperbaric oxygen as a modern but conventional medicine practices.
Since 2005, Dr. Nogay became increasingly concerned with his patients suffering from common, distressing—but non-life-threatening —conditions such as migraine, headache, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, allergies, hay fever, asthma, sciatica, anxiety and depression. Hiding behind the technical jargon was the fact that little was known about the causes of these conditions. The treatments offered, therefore, were mainly drugs to suppress symptoms—but that did nothing to cure or deal with the root causes of the illness.
Migraine was the first condition he began to study. Dr. Nogay became intrigued by the relief that some patients reported from Neural therapy. He learned not only neural therapy can be effective, but that there are scientific explanations of how it works. His immunology doctorate was not helpful to treat allergies but made him confused instead of comprehense the philosophy of acupuncture and neural therapy. It took more than 6 months, crossing the bridge of Neural therapy between conventional medicine and complementary alternative medicine. I appreciate for Dr Nazlıkul.

This discovery showed him there was more information available than any medical school could hold. Much of it lay in basic scientific research that had simply never been applied. Some information came from medical practices that had fallen out of fashion. And great stores of knowledge existed in other medical systems such as acupuncture, hypnosis, reflexotherapy, mesotherapy and chiropractic. These systems are held in low regard by conventional medicine, but Dr. Nogay accepted that they had rarely, if ever, been examined by outsiders in an unbiased way.

Dr. Nogay worked on mesotherapy with Dr Le Coz in Paris, father of mesotherapy, especially for sport injuries. He has also worked with Dr Nüzhet Ziyal, father of Turkish medical acupuncture in his acupuncture hospital. Then he learned hypnosis from Dr Ali Özden Öztürk and could have found the opportunity to work with him since 2006. With Dr Öztürk, developed a new therapy approach named ‘AUCH-ACU’.
He has also discovered huge differences between medical practices in various countries and cultures.

From German medicine, neural therapy, was particularly attractive to his because it is grounded in Western scientific concepts of how the body works, and also overlaps in many ways with acupuncture.

Dr. Nogay has spent the last years studying and attempting to combine the best of these diverse sources into an integrated medical system. He has also learned and used in addition to neural therapy and medical acupuncture , microacupuncture system therapy and oral acupuncture (learned from Dr. Jochen Gleditsch), identifying and importance of interference field-störfeld- (by Dr Beate Strittmatter); Yamamoto (from Dr Gabriella Hegyi), Su Jok, Reflexotherapy, manuel therapy and hypnosis during his daily practise. His special interest is identifying and treating interference fields.Since 2008 ICMART World Congress, he has pointed out the importance of interference fields both international and national acupuncture-integrative medicine- congress and meetings

He has been involved in medical educational organizations such as Yeditepe University Acupuncture Certification Programme and gave lectures on Immunology and acupuncture.
