  Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

Oxygen given with increased pressure can correct many serious health problems. To provide this increased pressure one must be within a pressurized room, a Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber. Under normal circumstances, only the red blood cells carry oxygen. However, because HBOT forces oxygen into the body under pressure, Oxygen dissolves into all of the body’s fluids, including the plasma, the Lymph, the cerebrospinal fluids surrounding the brain and spinal cord. These fluids can carry the extra oxygen even to areas where circulation is poor or blocked, either by trickling past the blockages or by seeping into the affected area.

  Foot Health and Reflexology
Painful feet can affect our ability to enjoy the most basic activities in our daily lives. Thankfully, many foot conditions can be easily prevented or treated by wearing properly fitting footwear or adequate foot care (including reflexotherapy). Each stride an adult takes places 900 lbs. per square inch of pressure on the bottom of the feet it is almost a certain fact that everyone at some time in their life will suffer from some type of foot pain symptoms. Be it something simple like athletes foot, ankle strain, or an ingrown toenail to more complicated problems like a hammertoe, bunion, or pinched nerve; from pain on the top of the foot, bottom of foot, moving all the way up to chronic foot problems like diabetes or poor circulation. In many patients, reflexology helps to identify definite diagnosis and therapy.

  Diabetes and Diabetic Foot
Of the 30% diabetics will develop foot problems related to the disease. Diabetic foot conditions develop from a combination of causes including poor circulation and neuropathy which can also present itself as relentless burning, tingling or numbness in the feet. The problem with neuropathy is multifaceted. With lack of sensation on the bottom of the diabetic foot, diabetics are at more risk for stepping on something, such as a broken piece of glass in the kitchen, and not even knowing it. Preventing foot complications is more critical for the diabetic patient because poor circulation impairs the healing process and can lead to ulcers, infection, and other serious foot conditions. In fact, diabetes is the major factor in over 50 percent of amputations performed in the United States each year.
